ABOUT ME
Short Bio: Anson Koch-Rein is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Liberal Arts at UNCSA. He holds a Magister degree in American Studies and Gender Studies from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, a PhD from Emory University's Graduate Institute of the Liberal Arts with a certificate in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Leadership from UMass Amherst. His work as a
teacher-scholar is situated in trans and queer studies, American studies,
rhetorics and theories of metaphor, and disability studies. His
writing has appeared in LIT: Literature Interpretation Theory, Transgender
Studies Quarterly, The European Journal of English Studies, and in
edited volumes including Becoming TransGerman: Cultural Identity Beyond
Geography and TransGothic in Literature and Culture.
